Guo Jian Meets Jimmy Hill from National College of Ireland

On the morning of November 20th, Guo Jian, the Secretary of the Party Committee, met with Jimmy Hill, Vice President of the National College of Ireland, and his delegation who were visiting the campus at the Wusi Road campus.

Guo Jian welcomed the visit of Jimmy Hill and his delegation. He pointed out that Hebei University and the National College of Ireland have successfully run a cooperative undergraduate program in human resource management for 10 years, and the quality of talent cultivation has gradually improved, gaining widespread recognition from society. Since the establishment of the program, Vice President Jimmy Hill has visited Hebei University many times to promote cooperation between the two schools in joint undergraduate and graduate student training, scientific research cooperation and exchange, faculty visits, and international education. This has not only provided strong support for the healthy development of the joint programs but also contributed significantly to the internationalization of Hebei University. Through this visit, it is hoped that the two schools can expand their cooperation in joint undergraduate and graduate student training, scientific research cooperation and exchange, faculty visits, and international education, building a new model for international education cooperation between China and Ireland.

Jimmy Hill stated that the joint programs between the two schools have achieved excellent results in the past 10 years. He hopes to take this opportunity to further improve the quality of the joint programs, expand multi-field and deep-level international exchanges and cooperation, promote faculty and student visits and exchanges, and help the internationalization of both schools, creating a high-quality platform for exchange and cooperation between China and Ireland.

During the visit, Meng Qingyu, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President, and Vice President Jimmy Hill jointly attended the working meeting of the Management Committee of the Joint Undergraduate Program in Human Resource Management. They discussed and exchanged views on the construction of the human resource management program, faculty teaching, language training, faculty capacity building and exchange, program quality improvement and innovation, and program level promotion. After the meeting, Meng Qingyu and Jimmy Hill attended the 10th anniversary celebration of the "China Heart, Patriotism" joint undergraduate program in human resource management at the Qiyi Road campus.
